Malayan sun bear on a quest for the last drop of honey at Rhenen Zoo
00
In a separate part of Expedition Bear Forest, the 2 hectare bear sanctuary at Rhenen Zoo, two female Malayan sun bears are kept. These bears arrived from a German zoo where the conditions of their enclosure were poor, in spring 2016. In the video you’ll see the natural exploratory behaviour of one of the bears while she is checking whether the honeypot – one of the enrichment features – is really empty or not.
