Since 27 November thedraft synthesis of Global Biodiversity Outlook 3 is available for peer review. When finalised this document will provide us essential information about the importance of biodiversity and the progress made in meeting the 2010 Biodiversity Target. It will also show us the status and trends of biodiversity, both at global and regional levels. Furthermore information will be presented regarding the progress made in mainstreaming biodiversity issues into the development agenda. There will be an emphasis on case studies that illustrate the positive actions taken to effectively conserve and sustainably use biodiversity. (Souce: www.cbd.int/gbo3)
