Sea otters (Enhy­dra lutris) inside Mon­terey Bay Aquar­ium, and out­side at open sea in front of the Aquar­ium build­ings. Although it seems as if the cap­tive otter is mak­ing its way through to open sea via a tun­nel, this is actu­ally not the case. Nev­er­the­less, Mon­terey Bay Aquarium’s mis­sion is sav­ing injured and orphaned sea otters to return them to the wild.
