An adult female chim­panzee trans­fers her fish­ing probe to her off­spring, who uses it to suc­cess­fully fish for ter­mites. The adult female then departs the ter­mite nest and later returns, hav­ing acquired new tool mate­r­ial with which to man­u­fac­ture a fish­ing probe.
